Board member Jessica Nordlander nominated for Sweden's most innovative leader

Jessica Nordlander, member of the Greenbyte board and Chief Digital Officer at STS Education is one of the three finalists for the award “Sweden’s most innovative leader”.

The award is an initiative from Ledarna, the organization for managers in Sweden established in 1905. The purpose of the “Sweden’s most innovative leader” is to reward and uphold leaders guided by an innovative vision who promote sustainability, equality, diversity and adapt to the digital, globalized world.

Jessica Nordlander has been a board member with Greenbyte since 2017 and is leading Greenbyte through growth. Apart from her executive position in STS, Jessica has been Head of New Business Development on Google and on the board of some of the most innovative technology start-ups in Sweden. She has served as managing director at Meltwater, a media intelligence software company and a growth marvel.

As of 2018, Jessica Nordlander is a member of Forbes Technology council, an exclusive invitation-only membership for world-class technology executives, where she contributes with thought leadership and community management.

Jessica shared some inspiring thoughts about leadership in the nomination press release from STS, which very much resonated with all of us in the Greenbyte community and reflects our core values:

“If we want companies to operate differently, we need to lead differently; that is my strong conviction. We need to find a way to be both efficient enough to ensure our current viability and innovative enough to ensure the same for the future. This places an enormous demand for ambidextrous leadership, and in order to get there, we have a lot to learn about transparency, vulnerability and pushing decision making to the edges of our companies, to the people that interface with our clients and products on a daily basis.”

The announcement of the winner will take place at the Chefgalan in Stockholm, March 19th. Greenbyte is proud to be part of leadership vision and wishes you best of luck, Jessica!
