Greencoat UK Wind choose Breeze to harmonize monitoring and reporting from a large and growing portfolio of wind farms in the UK.
Greencoat UK Wind is an exciting new class of companies investing in operating renewable projects. Greencoat UK Wind is structured to acquire operating UK wind farms from all major utilities and developers and own them for the life of the asset. In turn, capital is recycled by the utilities into the development of new projects.
At the time of choosing Breeze, Greencoat UK Wind is invested in sixteen wind farms, both onshore and offshore, with net generating capacity of 271.5MW and has a strong focus on continued growth.
“Across the Greencoat portfolio, we own turbines from six of the major manufacturers and have a number of different operational asset managers in place. Whilst our independence enables us to invest in the most financially beneficial projects, it presents an interesting operational challenge. With Breeze, we will streamline important monitoring and reporting processes and analysis of the wind farms we own” says Greencoat Capital Operations Director Jimmy Hansson.
“Greencoat UK Wind reflects where we think the industry is going. Industry scale wind farms will be financed by long-term capital and operated by teams needing coherent and consistent data to optimise returns. Therefore, it is very exciting that Greencoat, as the leading renewable energy funds in the UK, choose Breeze.” says Greenbyte CEO Jonas Corné.
